Welcome to the Pro Line Junior Olympic Development Program. The J.O.A.D Program of the National Archery Association is for young people between the ages of 8 and 18 years of age. The Pro Line J.O.A.D club is chartered under the auspices of the NAA and J.O.A.D, and we welcome an encourage children under the age of 8 also. Our club’s membership is made up of recurve and compound shooters. Each archer will progress at his her own pace. Some may achieve recognition as Champions but all will enjoy shooting and will build concentration and skill. To attain these goals, responsible adult supervision and coaching will be on hand during all shooting sessions.

Our names are Valerie and Guy Gerig. We are both NAA Certified Instructors and have been involved in the sport of archery since 1978. We have earned many awards and titles over the years. Most notably, Guy has been a U.S Archery team member, is the N.Y. State Indoor and Outdoor Champion and placed 8th at the 1999 Olympic Team Trials. Guy and I are Empire State Games Gold Medallists. As our children grow, we have recognized a need for an organized archery program for young people in the N.Y. metropolitan area. Pro Line is providing a tremendous amount of support to make the J.O.A.D club possible.

As a new member of the J.OA.D Program you will be required to complete a J.O.A.D membership application, a parental consent form, and a NAA membership application. We will forward all applications and fees to the N.A.A after we have made copies for club records. These applications must be completed for an archer to participate.

Practice sessions will be held at Pro Line Archery Lanes Inc. on Saturday morning from 10:30am to 1:00pm.  Please call the range or check this web site for the next J.O.A.D session date.

There is an Achievement Award Program of certificates and patches to be earned, which provide young archers, wit incentive.  Remember each archer will enjoy archery and progress rapidly if they receive support and encouragement from home.  Archery is a family sport and we’d like the whole family to be involved.
